Why redundancy is the golden opportunity to discover your true purpose (and transform your life)

Whether redundancy was an unexpected shock you're still coming to terms with, or maybe you are celebrating as you recognise it was the push you needed, this time is a precious opportunity to re-evaluate and reflect.

Who are you?  What is your true purpose?

What is your unique capability to make a difference and direct your career to a more purpose-aligned work that's truly fulfilling?

Or do you have the burning desire to start your own purpose-driven business or side hustle?

However, there lies the challenge. The purpose-discovery journey is not something you can work out in a matter of weeks or months. It's a process that requires much deeper work to then set you in the right direction, to create an unfolding journey where things become clearer over time.

The key is to do the deeper work upfront to facilitate and fast-track this process.

My purpose discovery coaching offer is designed to achieve just this.

In my last post, I shared the number one thing preventing people from discovering their purpose. What is it?

It's full-time work, which leaves little time or energy for self-discovery, reflection and exploration.

So this time you have in between jobs is the perfect time to do this work.

Following your bliss is often highlighted as your compass to direct you on the path to purpose, but this requires you to invest time and energy into your passions.

In my last post, I shared my journey of self-discovery after taking the leap from my corporate life at Google.

From the perspective of who I was back then, this was a journey I would have called ‘crazy’. Over the last ten years, I have achieved and created some incredible things that impacted thousands of people, and I discovered a whole new version of myself, including my purpose.  It was a bumpy ride but truly life-igniting.

What!?  Does it take 10 years to discover your purpose?

Well, hopefully not. This is why I am here to help you fast-track this journey.

Connecting to my deeper purpose at 40 years old made me question why it had taken so long. This led to much study and learning from thought leaders to rationalise the process and principles of purpose discovery. I created a six-week Discover Your Purpose course, which has dovetailed into my coaching offer to help people on their journey.

So, if you have been made redundant, it's time to celebrate what could be the most pivotal chapter in your life. Are you up for the challenge?

My Purpose Coaching offer covers everything I can have learnt through personal experience and study with these key essentials:

  1. Honing your mindset to enable the purpose discovery process.

  2. Self-discovery tools to unravel your superpowers and values

  3. Self-reflection exercises to go deeper to search for the clues inside of you

  4. Childhood trauma work to understand your story and how to re-write it as a reflection of who you really are.

  5. Keeping you inspired and accountable to take meaningful action.

You won’t uncover your purpose by staring at the Ikigai/Purpose Venn diagram.

This journey requires much deeper reflection, inner work, exploration, and the courage to make the necessary changes. Generally speaking, the one thing I see holding people back is fear.

This is an unfolding journey where you can’t see the dots ahead. It all begins with the right first steps.

I would love to help you find your true north and bring greater purpose into your next chapter. One thing I can guarantee is greater clarity about who you are, your values, and what cause to explore further. Along with the inspiration and accountability to create the change that needs to happen.

You can schedule a call with me here.

Making the right decisions and orientating yourself in the right direction is the key to creating the domino effect where life becomes more exciting and elevates you to your true potential of impact.
